Hi team, sorry this blog post is a bit late, but how nice is it to see everyone back at school over these past couple of weeks. Nevaeh was certainly happy to see her friends. It was a great first day back on her first Thursday, lots of laughter and language, Nevaeh walked into class and went and straight to her desk opened it up to see what she could find. We have been have regular breaks between activities and recording some of these amazing moments. Nevaeh is certainly expressing herself through language and emotions more at the moment. We are currently working on "today I am happy" and using a happy picture 🙂 also on Epic with short books about emotions, happy, sad, angry. Nevaeh seems really engaged in these short stories and I am loving hearing her say "happy" it's the cutest wee voice. I think building on modeling verbal communication and symbols will be really helpful and enjoyable for Nevaeh over the next couple of weeks and into term 4.
